Speaking of great villains - or should I said villainess - here’s some of Scrooge’s history with Magica De Spell! By Don Rosa~
Just my two cents that I never get to say anywhere but now I finally have the chance: there are some who think Magica’s the best romantic match for Scrooge and I gotta say, I disagree. What I like so much about Magica is that it proves that a man and a woman can duke it out constantly (or have any kind of relationship) without there being romantic tension (unless it’s for comedy). Scrooge gets one on-going female nemesis and she HAS to be his love interest? I find that kind of insulting. Kind of implies that a woman’s role in a story always must be romantic. Of course, this might also be because I’m a big fan of Scrooge/Goldie. ;3 Another thing I like about Magica is that her age is always left as ambiguous. She seems young, and yet as a knowledgeable sorceress she seems kind of ancient too. I like a gal with a little mystery. She’s wicked, she’s wild - she’s hilarious.
