Yyyyyyeah I went overboard with the lightning. This thing’s kind of an eyesore really. Lots of mistakes and bad choices. Eck. ._.

A few weeks ago I started thinking about the similarities between Jupes and Korra: tomboyish, powerful both in strength and in more supernatural ways, both capable of generating lightning (we all know Korra’s gonna learn sometime), rash sometimes, protective, an affinity for ponytails, lots and lots of “talent.” ;P So I started drawing this up on a Livestream however long ago it was.

I put off finishing it because the Korra finale was such a big disappointment to me, but at last tonight I chose to finish it at tonight’s stream (or rather, most of it - after being dragged to a movie I came home and wrapped up this piece for good). Anyway. Unimportant details.

The Japanese kanji up top is supposed to mean “Best Friends.” I know Korra isn’t Japanese, but Jupiter is, so. I figured Korra wouldn’t mind.

The biggest thing I regret about this is how much I exaggerated Jupiter’s height and the fact that Korra is the shortest of the Krew - when combining that with the two different art styles it just makes Jupiter look like a giant and Korra look like…I dunno, Snooki or something. Ugh. Some other proportion issues in here too. And I really wish I hadn’t used a certain brush in so many places. Oh well. There ARE things I like about this, I suppose. Like the fact that it’s finished, yay. Time to move on to cooler things.
